About Carsonville Hotel

Hidden amidst the lush landscapes of Halifax, PA, the Carsonville Hotel stands as a cozy retreat for anyone craving a delightful dining experience. Nestled at 3176 Powells Valley Rd, this charming spot offers guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle, in favor of a warm, inviting environment. Complex yet approachable, the menu here is a delightful mix that captures the essence of comfort food with a modern twist.

Stepping inside, patrons are immediately greeted by the old-world charm of wooden beams, dim lighting, and friendly faces. It's the kind of place that makes even first-time visitors feel like regulars. Now, onto what really matters — the food. Imagine starting off with a fresh Caesar salad, crisp and tangy, or perhaps diving into a plate of their Mediterranean flatbread, topped generously with feta and olives. From appetizers to entrees, each dish is crafted with care.

The mains offer something for everyone. Savoring their signature steak can transport anyone to food heaven. Cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, it’s a testament to their culinary expertise. For those who appreciate a hearty meal, the chicken pot pie is a must-try. Rich in flavor and filled with tender, juicy chunks of chicken, it’s comfort in a bowl.

Locals and out-of-towners alike seem to echo a similar sentiment: the experience is consistent in its delivery of both taste and service. The warm and attentive staff often surprise diners with personalized recommendations, ensuring no one leaves unsatisfied.

No visit is complete without sampling the dessert offerings. Imagine finishing off the meal with a decadent slice of chocolate lava cake, or perhaps, for the more traditional at heart, a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Sweet indulgence is encouraged here.

While the restaurant might not be located in the city's epicenter, the drive through the scenic surroundings offers a prelude to the warm, welcoming embrace that awaits diners. Overall, the Carsonville Hotel provides a dining experience that's not only about the food but also about creating memories worth returning for. It's a place where flavors are celebrated, and guests are treated like family, making it worthy of a visit for anyone in search of genuine culinary hospitality.

We love the food and atmosphere at the Carsonville hotel. Try the Pink Drink.... I love it!!!! Food prices are good and so are drink prices. We had New England clam chowder, . . Amazing! Burger one of the best in the area... Open faced roast beef ZERO fat! Worth the 45 min ride for us.

If you want to get out for a country drive and some good food .l was shocked when the Bay Fries came out !!! The largest portion I ever saw .. we also got a grilled ham & cheese and in the garden cheesesteak. DELICIOUS.. Service was great .. Definitely a must stop

Welcoming staff. Generous portions. Looks like a biker bar from the outside but don't let that fool you: a remodel under new ownership has more than doubled its interior and retained its character.

Service was very good. Food was outstanding! We got the Crab Blossoms as a starter while he got wings and I got pulled pork nachos as our main meals. All of the food was very tasty and the portions were huge! Will dine here again soon.

Great atmosphere, the food was all great (including some of the best peanut butter pie I’ve ever had in my life!), friendly staff. The Crab Blossoms were a great start to our meal. I enjoyed a BLT (stacked full with bacon) while my girlfriend enjoyed their hot roast beef sandwich and fries. The bartender was great and suggested a few drink options, and made a good Old Fashioned. Ended with dessert in a to-go container because we would never have been able to eat it all. Neat history with the mug club and the original pewter mugs on the wall. Looking forward to the deck opening soon!

Delicious steak and the ONLY place I eat wings!!! Crispy, not slimy and fatty like other wings. Love this place!!! Another great visit and meal. Tenderloin Medallions! Awesome!! Our Server was just as awesome!

Had a family get together last night 2/28/26. Steak medallions and scallops were fantastic.
